I was asked by Tawnya Hansen to help create something for her to hand out during her class on vegetable gardening. She wanted something that was beautiful, but also timeless so she could use it year after year with only minor updates over time.
Tawnya provided all the info and links for the information she was going to go over in her class as well as a few photos. I took what she gave me and created a booklet that presented the info as well as gave the students a place to take notes.
The biggest challenge was adding in the color without it overtaking the info that was being presented. I wanted the photos and color to be secondary to the work that Tawnya had done. I chose easy to read fonts as well as bold colors to help present the info rather than fight with it.
Below you can see the full booklet.
In conjunction with the booklet, I also designed an flyer and social media posts about the class to help advertise and promote the class.
Once the initial design of the booklet was in place, I was easily able to replicate the feel throughout the flyer and social posts in order to create a cohesive look.
